Only 12 months after starting works on Oxford City Council’s Decarbonisation project, CES Group have now completed works on 4 of the City’s Community Leisure Centres.

In 2021, Oxford City Council secured £10.9M in funding (of the £14M project) thanks to the Governments Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme, with additional funding coming from the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) and Salix Finance.

CES Group were awarded the Mechanical, Electrical and Controls (MEC) contract for these projects by CMB Engineering, which saw us undertake the mechanical and BMS works on Ferry Leisure Centre, Barton Leisure Centre, Blackbird Leys Leisure Centre and Hinksey Leisure Centre.

CES Group worked with CMB Engineering to create a plan for the 4 sites, after they were designed by Hoare Lea & Partners. The projects have been delivered on time, ensuring smooth operations and the best possible client satisfaction.

Hounsome Fields Primary School

Our mechanical team worked with the client and main contractor to deliver new mechanical services to a refurbished performing arts centre in Birmingham.
Services installed included new boiler plant and underfloor heating systems, new hot and cold water services and above ground drainage, new sanitaryware and showers, supply and extract systems from roof top mounted AHUs and a new BMS controls system.

Homewood Grove

State-of-the-art new retirement living community for the over 60s

Our retirement living experts created Homewood Grove, a new community of 116 apartments split into a mix of one, two or three bedroom homes across a 4.7 ache brownfield site.

Residents benefit from a wide range of community facilities such as a well-being centre (pool, steam room and sauna), gym, dance studio, bistro and bar/coffee shop, a members lounge, village hall, activities room and a hair and beauty salon.

Our Mechanical and Controls teams worked together to deliver upgrades to the existing Heating and BMS systems across the site.

CES Group were awarded the Mechanical and Controls contract for this project by the School and DW Pointers Consulting, which saw us undertake the Mechanical and BMS works, navigating the necessary steps to ensure the School would not be affected by the ongoing works.

Hanley Street Phase 1 and 2

Working alongside the main contractor our mechanical team undertook the supply and installation of new mechanical services to 2 phases of new build student accommodation.
New services included a new boosted cold-water supply and all distribution pipework, above ground drainage systems, new sprinkler system, new direct hot water cylinders, MVHR supply and extract ventilation and air conditioning to all rooms.

Morton Cof E Primary School

PROFILE

Working for JRA Associates and with the school, our mechanical team undertook the complete isolation and removal of all existing boiler plant and equipment and provided a complete new boiler installation. Installations provided include a new external gas main, new boilers, new flues, all new equipment and associated pipework installations along with a new BMS controls package. All works were completed within the 6 week holiday period.

Barkston and Courtfield Hotel

The refurbishment of two existing buildings, to be repurposed as 93nr and 32nr bedroom hotel in Kensington, London.
Works comprise the complete conversion of old and tired hotel into modern hotels for Cerberus Group; an international hotel funder and operator specialising in the budget hotel sector.
CES Group) delivered a seamless Building Management System (BMS) installation for the Barkston and Courtfield Hotels by carefully integrating advanced building automation technology with a focus on efficiency and system reliability.

Set in Kent’s picturesque countryside, Wildernesse House is part of the 24-acre historic Wildernesse Estate, renowned for its period houses and ancient woodland.
The Grade II-listed Georgian building was transformed I to 23 high-end, luxury apartments, with the addition of cutting-edge spa facilities, wellness, areas, and communal spaces.
CES Group were tasked with the BMS design and installation on the complex heritage project emphasising and integrating intelligent building design at the outset working with the client to define outcomes like energy efficiency, comfort, sustainability and adaptability by analysing building use and occupancy patterns, identifying systems for control (HVAC, ventilation, lighting, etc.) and defining how intelligent monitoring will support operational goals.
